You can configure vote-based points for content types that support voting. These settings determine how many points a Player earns when other Players vote on their completion, helping to encourage peer engagement and interaction.
Points for votes can be assigned to the following content types:
To Assign Points for Votes:
- While creating or editing Content, scroll to the Points Settings section.
- Locate Points from Votes.
-
Enter the points to award per vote by other players*.
- The points a Player receives when other Players in the Project cast a vote on their completion.
- If left empty, the default value will be used (typically 0 points).
-
(Optional) You can cap vote points* a Player can earn from other Players' votes^.
- This caps the total points a Player can receive from votes on their completions.
- If left empty, the default setting is 0.
- This option is available only if points per vote by other players is greater than 0.
- Click "Save Details" to apply the changes.

NOTE: * Updates to vote points will apply only to votes cast after the change. Example: If a Content initially awards 0 points per vote and is later updated to 5 points, only votes cast after the update will award 5 points. * If a Player has already exceeded the updated points, whatever that is extra will not be removed. ^ This cap vote points setting will not be affected by the overall maximum points a Player may earn from completing this Content. |
Tip: Setting 'Cap Vote Points At'
This setting is especially useful for preventing points farming, as there is no limit to the number of votes a Player may receive on a Content completion.
Example:
Other Players can vote on a Player’s Content completion an unlimited number of times. However, if the vote points cap is set to 20 and each vote awards 5 points, the Player can earn points from only the first 4 votes. Any additional votes will not award extra points.
Unlike standard points awarded for content completion, which apply to all Players who complete the content, Speed Points allow you to reward only a selected group of Players based on how quickly they complete the content. |
