After assigning Team Bonus Points to a Challenge for the first time, you can edit these settings when you edit the Challenge.
There are several key points to note while doing so:
1. How do I know how many Teams or Players were awarded the team bonus points?
On the settings screen, there will be a counter showing how many teams and players (total number of players in the teams) were awarded the team bonus points.
2. Can I change the number of players per team that needs to complete the Challenge to receive the team bonus points?
Yes.
However, any change in criteria will only apply to those who complete the Challenge after the update.
Players (and their respective teams) who have been awarded the points previously will not be affected.
Example:
You initially assigned 3 players per team to complete the Challenge for the team bonus points.
To date, 3 players from Team A and 2 players from Team B completed the Challenge. All Players of Team A were awarded the team bonus points, but no one from Team B has earned the bonus yet.
You then decided that 4 players per team must complete the Challenge to receive the team bonus points instead.
What happens?
- Team A will not be affected.
- Team B would require 2 more Players to earn the team bonus points.
3. Can I reduce the number of players required per team to complete the Challenge?
Yes, you can. As long as the value is more than 0.
Which brings us to the next question... what if I want to stop giving out team bonus points?
4. Can I stop giving out team bonus points for completing a Challenge?
Yes, you can.
You can do so by changing both values to 0 as shown below.
5. Can I change the amount of team bonus points to award?
Yes.
However, any change in the amount of bonus points will only apply to those who complete the Challenge after the update.
Players (and their respective teams) who have been awarded the points previously will not be affected.
Example:
You initially assigned 3 players per team to complete the Challenge to receive 15 team bonus points.
To date, 3 players from Team A and 2 players from Team B completed the Challenge. All Players of Team A were awarded 15 bonus points, but no one from Team B has earned the bonus yet.
You then decided to increase the bonus points awarded to 20 instead.
What happens?
- Team A will not be affected. (Excess points will not be awarded.)
- When Team B has fulfils the criteria, each Player will receive 20 team bonus points.
Unlike assigning completion and vote points for a Challenge which applies to all players who complete the challenge, Team Bonus Points only apply to Players who belong to a Team. |
