Removing multiple Players from a Project

NOTE: This feature is available to Project Owners, Project Administrators and Project Moderators on the Admin Dashboard. 

Important: Removing Players from a Project permanently deletes their Player-related data in that Project, including Challenge completions, points earned, votes cast, and comments posted. This action cannot be undone.

This article will cover the steps to remove multiple Players from a Project. There are 2 ways to do so:

• Remove multiple Players via Bulk Actions 
• Remove multiple Players via Excel Upload

To remove multiple Players via Bulk Actions

1. Sign in to the Admin Dashboard and select the relevant Project.
2. Go to Project Tools. 
3. Select "Player Manager".
4. Under Bulk Actions, select "Remove Players". 
5. Select the "Select From List" tab.
   • Use the search field to find Players by name or email address. 
   • Select the checkbox beside each Player you want to remove. 
   • To select all displayed Players, select the checkbox beside the ID column heading.
6. Select "Next". 
7. Review the selected Players on the confirmation screen. 
8. Confirm the removal.
   • The selected Players and their associated Project data will be permanently deleted.

To remove multiple Players via Excel Upload

1. Sign in to the Admin Dashboard and select the relevant Project.
2. Go to Project Tools. 
3. Select "Player Manager".
4. Under Bulk Actions, select "Remove Players". 
5. Select the “Upload Excel File” tab.
6. Create an Excel spreadsheet in the following format 
   • 1st column - Player email address
7. Save your Excel spreadsheet in "Excel Workbook (.xlsx)" format, noting the following guidelines:
   • It contains only one worksheet.
   • It does not contain any hidden worksheets.
   • It does not include column headers.
   • It is saved as a .xlsx file.
8. Select "Select A File", then choose the spreadsheet from your device.
9. Select "Upload" to complete the action. 

NOTE: Removing many Players may take longer because we must also delete their associated submissions, comments, votes, and other Project data. A browser timeout or error page may appear.
