Note: This feature is available on the Admin Dashboard to Project Owners and Project Administrators.
Deleting a Topic is irreversible. Once deleted, all content and activity associated with the Topic will be permanently removed.
This includes:
- All content in the selected Topic
- All player completions in the Topic
- All points earned by players from the Topic
- All comments posted within the Topic, including comments on Challenges and player completions
- All analytics associated with the Topic
Important: All analytics for the selected Topic will be permanently lost once the Topic is deleted. If you wish to retain any data, we recommend downloading your reports before proceeding.
There are two ways to delete a Topic:
How to delete a Topic via Topic Tools
- On the Admin Dashboard, select the Topic you wish to delete.
- Go to Topic Tools and select “Delete Topic”.
- Read the information and notes displayed before proceeding.
- Type “confirm” when prompted.
- Click Confirm Delete to permanently delete the Topic.
Note: If the Topic is linked to other Topics or Achievements through Topic Locking or Achievement Rules, deleting it may affect those related Topics and Achievements. Learn more here.
How to delete a Topic via the Project Manager Page
- In the Project Manager, locate the Topic you wish to delete.
- Click "Delete".
- Read the information and notes displayed before proceeding.
- Type “confirm” when prompted.
- Click Confirm Delete to permanently delete the Topic.
Alternatives to deleting a Topic
If you do not need to permanently remove the Topic, consider these alternatives:
- If you wish to retain both the Topic content and player activity, unpublish the Topic. Players will no longer be able to access or interact with it.
- If you wish to retain the Topic content but remove its player activity, you can reset the Topic activities via the Admin Dashboard.
