Signing in with a Verification Code

Some Gametize-powered web applications allow Players to sign in using a verification code sent to their email address instead of a password.

Verification-code sign-in is currently available on the web app only.

Signing in with a verification code

1. Open the web application.
2. Under ... or sign in with email, enter the email address associated with your account.
3. Select Continue.
4. Check your email for the verification code.
5. On the Verify your email screen, enter the verification code.
6. Select Sign In.

If your account already exists, you will be taken directly to the verification screen after entering your email.

Creating a new account

If the email address you entered is not associated with an existing account, you will be prompted to create one.

1. Enter your Name.
2. Select Register.
3. Check your email for the verification code.
4. Enter the code on the Verify your email screen.
5. Select Sign In.

When verification-code sign-in is enabled, you do not need to create a password during registration.

If you do not receive a verification code

First, check your Spam or Junk folder and confirm that you entered the correct email address.

If you still do not receive the code:

1. Reload the web application.
2. Return to the sign-in page.
3. Enter your email address again.
4. Select Continue to request a new verification code.

If you are still unable to receive a verification code, you can use password sign-in instead.

Signing in with a password

From the Verify your email screen:

1. Select Sign In With Password.
2. Enter your email address and password.
3. Select Sign In.

If you do not have a password or cannot remember it, select Need help signing in? to start the password reset process.

You can use this process to set a password even if your account was originally created while verification-code sign-in was enabled.

If your verification code does not work

Make sure you are using the most recent verification code sent to your email.

If the code is no longer accepted, reload the web application and start again by entering your email address on the sign-in page.

Alternatively, select Sign In With Password and use the password sign-in option.

Keeping your account secure

Your verification code allows access to your account.

Do not share your verification code with anyone.

If you receive a verification code that you did not request, you can ignore the email.
