NOTE: This feature is available to Project Owners and Project Administrators on the Admin Dashboard.
Editing a Shuffle Mode Topic works similarly to editing a Standard Topic. However, some Shuffle Mode settings become locked after Contents have been assigned to Players.
Editing Shuffle Mode Topic Settings Before Contents Are Assigned
Before any Player has been assigned Content, you may edit all Topic settings, including:
- Topic Image
- Topic Title and Description
- Topic Category
- Shuffle Mode Topic Settings, including the number of Contents to assign per Player
- Topic Privacy
- Scheduling Settings for publishing and expiry
- Topic Activity Reset
- Topic Locking
To edit the Shuffle Mode Topic settings:
- From the Admin Dashboard, select the Project containing the Shuffle Mode Topic.
- Select the Shuffle Mode Topic.
- On the Topic Manager page, click Settings.
- Under Shuffle Mode Topic Settings, set the number of Contents to assign per Player.
- Click Save Details.
Note: The number of Contents assigned per Player cannot be greater than the number of Contents currently available in the Topic. To increase it beyond the current limit, create additional Contents first.
Editing Shuffle Mode Topic Settings After Contents Are Assigned
Note: The following applies once at least one Player has been assigned Content in the Shuffle Mode Topic.
Most Topic settings can still be edited after assignment. However, the number of Contents assigned per Player can no longer be changed.
If You Need to Change the Number of Contents Assigned per Player
You may consider the following options:
- Duplicate the Topic: Creates a new Shuffle Mode Topic where you can configure the number of Contents assigned per Player again.
- Remove all Players from the Topic: This may be suitable if the Topic has not yet been actively used.
- Reset Topic activity: Removes Player activity from the Topic and allows Content assignments to be generated again.
Important: Resetting Topic activity permanently removes Player-generated activity, including completions, points, comments, votes, and bookmarks. Download any required reports before resetting activity.
