Beta notice: Video Challenge submissions
The Video Challenge feature, where Players record or upload their own videos, is currently in beta. We are continuing to improve its upload reliability, compatibility, and overall experience. We do not recommend using Video Challenges for live events, time-sensitive activities, or other critical use cases at this time.
When the improved feature resumes, limits will apply to video submissions. The specific limits and availability will be communicated when confirmed. For now, consider using a Photo Challenge or another suitable Challenge type for live activities.
As a Project Administrator, you can manually complete a Video Challenge on behalf of one or more Players. This can be done for a single Player or multiple Players.
When completing a Video Challenge for a Player, you will see 2 options:
For a Single Player:
- On the Project Manager page, search for and select the Topic where the content is located.
- In the Topic Manager, find the Video Challenge you want to edit.
- On the right side of the content card, click “Complete Challenge for Players”.
- Locate the For a Single Player section.
- Enter the email address of the Player you want to complete the Challenge for. The email must belong to an existing Player in the selected Project.
- Click "Choose File" to upload a video.
- Enter text in the Descriptions/Comments field.
- Click “Complete Challenge” to complete the Challenge for the Player.
For Multiple Players:
To complete a Video Challenge for multiple Players at once, you must upload an Excel file.
- On the Complete a Challenge for Players page, locate the For Multiple Players section.
-
Create an Excel file with the .xlsx file extension using the following format:
- Header row is required
- 1st column: Players’ email addresses (mandatory)
- 2nd column: Description/Text
- 3rd column: Video URL (mandatory)
- Only data from the second row onwards will be processed. The header row will be ignored.
- Note that only Excel files with the .xlsx file extension will be accepted.
- Click on "Choose File" to upload the Excel file.
- Click “Upload” to complete the Challenge for the selected Players.
NOTE: To generate a video URL, simply upload the video onto any image hosting site and retrieve the URL. Here are some recommended sites: https://makeawebsitehub.com/free-photo-hosting/.
