After setting speed points for a Content, you can update these settings at any time by editing the Content.
However, there are several important rules to keep in mind, as updates apply only to future completions.
1. Viewing How Many Players Have Received Speed Points
To check how many Players have already been awarded Speed Points:
- While editing Content, scroll to the Points Settings section.
- Locate the Speed Points section.
- A counter will display the number of Players who have received Speed Points so far.
2. Changing the Number of Players Who Can Receive Speed Points
Yes, you can change the number of Players eligible to receive Speed Points.
However, any changes will apply only to Players who complete the Content after the update.
Example:
Initially, Speed Points are awarded to 2 Players.
5 Players have already completed the Challenge, with the first 2 receiving Speed Points. Then, you decide to increase the number to 5 players to award speed points.
What happens?
Players 3 to 5 who already completed the Content will not receive Speed Points retroactively. Instead, Speed Points will be awarded to the 6th, 7th, and 8th Players who complete the Content.
3. Reducing the Number of Players Who Can Receive Speed Points
Yes, you can reduce the number of Players who can receive Speed Points, but with a restriction.
You may only reduce the number to a value that is greater than or equal to the number of Players who have already received Speed Points.
Example:
Initially, Speed Points are awarded to 10 Players.
5 Players have already completed the Challenge and received Speed Points.
You can only reduce to 5 players, but not 4 and below.
4. Stopping Speed Points from Being Awarded
To do so, set the number of Players eligible for Speed Points to match the number of Players who have already received them.
After this, any subsequent Players who complete the Challenge will no longer receive Speed Points.
5. Updating the Number of Speed Points Awarded
Yes, you can change the number of Speed Points awarded.
However, changes will apply only to Players who complete the Content after the update.
Players who have been awarded the points previously will not be affected.
Example:
Initially, 10 Players can receive 5 Speed Points.
5 Players have already completed the Challenge and received 5 Speed Points each. Then, you decide to increase to 10 speed points.
What happens?
The first 5 Players are not affected. Only Players who complete the Content after the update will receive 10 Speed Points.
Unlike completion or vote points, which apply to all Players who complete the content, Speed Points are awarded only to a selected group of Players based on completion order (often referred to as fastest finger first). |
