Ways to generate URLs for PDF

This article will cover some of the ways and content management/file-sharing services you can leverage on to generate URLs for PDF documents you wish to embed in a Flashcard or Challenge. 

• From Google Drive
• From Microsoft OneDrive
• From Box

Generating PDF document URL from Google Drive

1. First, upload the PDF to Google Drive.
2. Right-click on the file and select “Preview”. 
   
3. In the top right, click   and select . This gives you access to the embedding option, where you would retrieve the link. 
4. In the newly opened window, to the top right, click  and select .
5. Copy the link in the quotation marks.
   
6. Go on to embed the PDF link in any Flashcard or Challenge. 

Generating PDF document URL from Microsoft OneDrive

1. First, upload the PDF to OneDrive. 
2. Right-click on the file and select “Embed”. You may be prompted to generate the HTML code - click to do so. (or follow the instructions here)
3. Copy and paste the HTML code to any text editor.
   
4. Copy the link in the quotation marks.
   
5. Go on to embed the PDF link in any Flashcard or Challenge.

Generating PDF document URL from Box

1. First, upload the PDF to Box. 
2. Right-click on the file and select “More Actions”, then select “Embed Widget”. (or follow the instructions here)
3. Copy and paste the embed code to any text editor.
   
4. Copy the link in the quotation marks.
   
5. Go on to embed the PDF link in any Flashcard or Challenge.
