Embedding content in a Flashcard or Challenge

Embedding content allows you to display external content within the selected Flashcard or Challenge without displaying the web address. 

You may embed the following using URLs:

• Websites
• Videos (Youtube, Vimeo, or MP4 video URLs)
• PDF documents

Embedding Websites

To do so:

1. Retrieve the URL from the website (you may do so by copying it directly from the address bar).
2. Then, head back to Gametize. Select to edit the Flashcard or Challenge you would like to embed the website.
3. Scroll to the section “Embed Content” and under “URL to Embed”, insert the URL.
4. Click  or  to complete. 
5. For a sample of how embedded websites look like on a Player Web or App.

Embedding Videos

You are able to embed videos retrieved from video hosting services (Gametize best supports videos from Youtube and Vimeo) or video links with .mp4 extension. To do so:

1. From the video hosting site, retrieve the URL - learn how to retrieve URLs from some of the commonly used video hosting sites here.
2. Then, head back to Gametize. Select to edit the Flashcard or Challenge you would like to embed the video
3. Scroll to the section “Embed Content” and under “URL to Embed”, insert the video URL.
4. Click  or  to complete. 
5. For a sample of how embedded videos look like on a Player Web or App.

Embedding PDF documents

You are able to embed PDF documents for files with .pdf extension. To do so:

1. Retrieve the file link to the PDF document, with .pdf extension. 
2. Then, head back to Gametize. Select to edit the Flashcard or Challenge you would like to embed the PDF. 
3. Scroll to the section “Embed Content” and under “URL to Embed”, insert the PDF document URL.
4. Click  or  to complete.
