Embedding content allows you to display external media directly within a selected content item, without showing the web address to Players.
You can embed the following using URLs:
Embedding Websites
NOTE: Website embedding uses iFrame embed. Depending on the website’s security settings, some domains may not allow embedding. Always test the embedded website on the Player Web or App before launching your game. |
To embed a website:
- Retrieve the URL from the website (you may do so by copying it directly from the address bar).
- On the Admin Dashboard, edit the Content you would like to embed the website.
- Scroll to the section “Embed External Media”.
- Under “URL to Embed”, paste the website URL.
- Click "Save" to apply your changes.
Embedding Videos
You can embed videos retrieved from video hosting services (Gametize best supports videos from Youtube and Vimeo) or video links with .mp4 extension.
To embed a video:
- Retrieve the video URL from the video hosting platform (learn how to retrieve URLs from some of the commonly used video hosting sites here).
- On the Admin Dashboard, edit the Content you would like to embed the video.
- Scroll to the section “Embed External Media”.
- Under “URL to Embed”, paste the website URL.
- Click "Save" to apply your changes.
Embedding PDF documents
You can embed PDF documents using file links with a .pdf extension.
To embed a PDF document:
- Retrieve the file link to the PDF document, with .pdf extension.
- On the Admin Dashboard, edit the Content you would like to embed the PDF documents.
- Scroll to the section “Embed External Media”.
- Under “URL to Embed”, paste the website URL.
- Click "Save" to apply your changes.
