Setting the maximum number of Players per Team

By default, an unlimited number of Players can be added or join a team. As an Administrator, you are able to set the Maximum Team size. This article will cover the following:

Setting the maximum number of Players per Team

1. Select a Project you wish to edit the Teams settings. 
2. Go to Project Tools.
3. On the popup menu, scroll to the section “User Management & Awardables” and select “Team Manager”.
4. At the top of the page, select .
5. Ensure that you have enabled Teams in the selected Project. 
6. In the popup, under “Maximum Team size”, insert a numerical value.
   • Value has to be greater than 0.
   • Leave the field blank if you do not wish to set a limit (it will assume the default - allowing an unlimited number of Players per team). 
7. Click  to complete. 
8. You can consider some of these steps after setting the maximum number of Players allowed per Team.

Steps to consider after setting the maximum number of Players per Team

After setting the limit, you may go ahead to add Players to the Teams or allow Players to join a Team. 

If you are adding Players to the Teams

It is important to ensure that you only add the number of Players as defined under “Maximum Team size”. Players are added to a Team in the order of selection via Bulk Actions or the Excel spreadsheet uploaded. Players beyond the number defined will not be added. Take for example:

• “Maximum Team size” was set as 2. 
• player1@email, player2@email.com, and player3@email.com were selected in that order via Bulk Actions to be added to a Team. 
• Only player1@email.com and player2@email.com are added to the selected Team. 
• player3@email.com will not be added to the selected Team. 

If you allow Players to join a Team via the Player web and mobile apps:

It is important to note that Players will not be able to join a Team which has reached its maximum team size, as defined under “Maximum Team size”.
