Understanding User Roles on Gametize

On the Gametize Platform, there are different roles, each with different access rights to certain features and functions. There are a total of 4 roles: 

1. Project Owner
2. Project Administrator
3. Project Moderator
4. Player 

1) Project Owner

A Project Owner is the account user who subscribes to a plan and creates the Project, hence owns the Project. The Project Owner has the same access rights as a Project Administrator, with several more:

• Grant a user rights as a Project Administrator
• Reset Project Content
• Reset Project Activity
• Delete Project Permanently

You can check your access rights on the Project card with the little red tag. 

2) Project Administrator

A Project Administrator has full access to all features and functions on the Admin Dashboard and is allowed to perform all administrative tasks within the assigned Project. With the exception that, a Project Administrator is unable to (essentially, functions exclusive to a Project Owner):

• Grant a user rights as a Project Administrator
• Reset Project Content
• Reset Project Activity
• Delete Project Permanently

The allowable administrative tasks include:

• Creating Topics, Challenges, and Flashcards
• Creating Rewards and Achievements
• Awarding bonus points to Players
• Inviting Players to Project and Topics
• And many more!

3) Projector Moderator

While a Project Administrator has a full view of all functions, a Project Moderator has limited access to the Admin Dashboard, hence limited actions that can be performed.

The allowable administrative tasks include:

• Invite/remove users from Project
• Invite/remove users from Topic
• Moderate Players' completions by editing or deleting
• Moderate Players' comments by editing or deleting
• Redeem/Collect/Cancel Rewards for Players
• View Project Analytics and download reports

4) Player

A Player can only access the Player interface - web and mobile app, and perform Player-only actions such as:

• Completing Challenges
• Redeeming Rewards
• Collecting Achievements
• Accessing Leaderboard
• Commenting and Voting on content
• View Activity Feed
• Bookmark content
