Understanding User Roles on Gametize

On the Gametize Platform, there are different user roles, each with distinct access rights to certain features and functions. There are a total of 4 roles: 

1. Project Owner
2. Project Administrator
3. Project Moderator
4. Player 

1) Project Owner

A Project Owner is the account user who subscribes to a plan and creates the Project, hence owns the Project. The Project Owner has the same access rights as a Project Administrator, with additional privileges to:

• Grant a user Project Administrator rights
• Reset Project Content
• Reset Project Activity
• Delete Project Permanently

2) Project Administrator

A Project Administrator has full access to all features and functions on the Admin Dashboard and is allowed to perform all administrative tasks within the assigned Project. With the exception that, a Project Administrator is unable to (essentially, functions exclusive to a Project Owner):

• Granting a user Project Administrator rights
• Reset Project Content
• Reset Project Activity
• Delete Project Permanently

Administrative tasks available to a Project Administrator include:

• Creating Topics, Challenges, Flashcards, and Marketplace Widgets
• Creating Rewards and Achievements
• Awarding bonus points to Players
• Inviting Players to Project and Topics
• And many more!

3) Projector Moderator

A Project Moderator has limited access to the Admin Dashboard and can perform only selected administrative actions.

Allowed tasks include:

• Inviting or removing users from a Project
• Inviting or removing users from a Topic
• Moderate Players' completions by editing or deleting
• Moderate Players' comments by editing or deleting
• Redeeming or Collecting or Cancelling Rewards for Players
• View Project Analytics and download reports

4) Player

A Player can only access the Player interface - player web and mobile app, and can perform Player-specific actions, including:

• Completing Challenges and interacting with other contents such as Minigames
• Redeeming Rewards
• Collecting Achievements
• Accessing Leaderboard
• Commenting and Voting on content
• View Activity Feed
• Bookmark content
