More about Project Analytics - Overall Statistics

Overall Statistics allows an overall view of the Project data. You will see 5 segments - Content/Activities, Players, Completions, Most Active Time, and Points Distribution. There are 2 ways to access:

1. Navigate to Project Analytics and select “Overall Statistics”. 
2. Or, select “Overall Statistics” using the navigation buttons at the top of the page. 
3. You will see 5 sections - (1) Content/Activities, (2) Players, (3) Completions, (4) Most Active Time, and (5) Points Distribution. See below for more details.

Content/Activities

An overview of 8 Project metrics collected since Project creation. 

1. Metrics related to content
   • Topics: total number of Topic created, including published and unpublished
   • Challenges: total number of Challenges, including published and unpublished
   • Flashcards: total number of Flashcards created, including published and unpublished
2. Metrics related to Player activities
   • Bookmarks: total number of Bookmarks made by Players, on Flashcards or Challenges
   • Comments: total number of comments posted by Players and Admins, including comments on content and completions
   • Votes: total number of votes casted by Players and Admins, including votes on content and completions
   • Achievements unlocked: total number of Achievements unlocked by Players, including published and unpublished
   • Rewards redeemed: total number of Rewards redeemed by Players, including published and unpublished
3. You may click on the metrics to view the data in greater detail. 

Players

Provides insights to Player data. 

1. You may click on the tooltip  to learn more about the following definitions. 
   • Players include all that have joined or been invited to the Project.
   • Active Players are those that performed an action in the Project (completed a Challenge, cast a vote, received a vote, posted a comment, or bookmarked content). 
2. You may click on the metrics to view the data in greater detail. 
3. The graph displays the day-to-day change in Players count across the selected time period. You may hover over various points on the graph to learn about the numbers. 
4. You also have the option to change the time period you would like to examine the data in. 
   • All Time: the Project’s entire lifetime, i.e. since Project Creation
   • Today: the day you are viewing the data
   • Last Week: the last 7 days
   • Last Month: the last 28 days
   • Range: where you can select a date range 

Completions

Provides insights to Completion data. 

1. You may click on the metrics to view the following data in greater detail. 
   • Completions accounts for Challenge completions by all Players in the lifetime of the Project, including multiple completions from the same Challenge
   • Completion rate is the percentage Players who have completed at least one Challenge in the lifetime of the Project
2. You will see 2 graphs, where you may hover over various points to learn about the numbers
   • Completion: displays the day-to-day change in completions across the selected time period. 
   • Completion rate: displays the day-to-day change in completion rate across the selected time period. 
3. You also have the option to change the time period you would like to examine the data in. 
   • All Time: the Project’s entire lifetime, i.e. since Project Creation
   • Today: the day you are viewing the data
   • Last Week: the last 7 days
   • Last Month: the last 28 days
   • Range: where you can select a date range 

Most Active Time

Provides insights to which hour of the day are Players the most active. Most Active Time Period is therefore the percentage of Challenge completions that come through for each period, in intervals of an hour, across the select time period. The higher the percentage, the more active the Project is in that time period.

1. The graph displays the hour-by-hour change in percentage of Challenge completions across the selected time period (note that time is in GMT +0). You may hover over various points on the graph to learn about the numbers
2. You also have the option to change the time period you would like to examine the data in. 
   • All Time: the Project’s entire lifetime, i.e. since Project Creation
   • Today: the day you are viewing the data
   • Last Week: the last 7 days
   • Last Month: the last 28 days
   • Range: where you can select a date range 

Points Distribution

Provides insights to the number of Players that are within a certain points range. 

1. The graph is plotted against 5 points range, derived based on the highest number of points earned by a Player in the Project.
2. You may hover over various points on the graph to learn about the numbers.
