More about Topic Analytics - Overall Statistics – Gametize

There are two sections you can explore within Topic Analytics. This article covers the first section - Overall Statistics. (See Accessing Topic Analytics)

Overall Statistics provides you a good overview of all the activities going on in the selected Topic. You can click on each of the cards to view the data in greater detail. There are 10 data components that you can explore.

(1) Players

Users that have joined the Topic (if the Topic Privacy is set to public) or have been invited into the Topic (if the Topic Privacy is set to private).

(2) Active Players

Players that have accomplished at least one of the following in the selected Topic:

Completed one Challenge
Casted a vote or received a vote
Post a comment
Bookmarked a Flashcard or Challenge, or
Liked any Flashcard

(3) Challenges

The list of Challenges created in the selected Topic.

(4) Flashcards

The list of Flashcards created in the selected Topic.

(5) Completion Rate

The number of unique Challenge completions out of the total number of published Challenges in the Topic.

NOTE:

Unique refers to a completion for each published Challenge, regardless if the Challenge allows single or multiple attempts (i.e. even if a Player submits multiple completions, only 1 completion is considered in the calculation).
Published Challenges refer to the Challenges that are “active” in the Topic. This would mean, given the same number of unique Challenge completions, the smaller the number of published Challenges, the larger the completion rate. And, vice versa.

(6) Engagement Rate

The percentage of Players who have completed Challenges in this Topic.

(7) Completions

The current number of recorded completions in the selected Topic. This includes repeated completions from repeatable Challenges.

(8) Bookmarks

The number of Bookmarks made by Players, on Flashcards or Challenges, in the selected Topic

(9) Comments

The number of comments posted by Players and Administrators in the selected Topic. This includes both comments on content and completions.

(10) Votes

The number of votes cast by Players and Administrators in the selected Topic. This includes both votes on content and completion
