How to market your completed project to your users?

You have created your Project and are ready to go live, exciting times! But wait, how are you going to reach out to your players? All of our clients do it in their various ways and flavors, but here are some tips to help you out.

1. Send an email your players using our mail generator

Easy-peasy, send an email to Players to let them know they’ve been invited to your game (P.S. You can even send emails when inviting Players to specific Topics in the game, for more granularity).

You can even customize these Email Templates: for example, replace the Gametize logo with your own campaign logo or add an extra link in the footer. (You’ll need to know some basic HTML to edit the email templates. I recommend W3 Schools to get started!)

2. Use the Share function to share your Project easily across different platforms

With our Share function, easily share your Project via platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, WhatsApp, Telegram, Pinterest, and more. Your Players will get directed to the Game Teaser page where they can choose to play the game on web or app.

Even better, Players can share the game too via playing on the Gametize web or app.

3. Design your EDM – a simple poster or (for the coders) via HTML

Now, it’s time to design your EDM – for example, a generic step-by-step guide with some screenshots. I recommend using Poster design tools like canva.com or even simple tools like Powerpoint or Google Slide.

Use the rule of 3 USP to quickly summarize your game

We’ve got an example below, which is a simple summary of what one can expect from the game.

4. Leverage social media by creating a Page and/or announcements for your game

If your game is accessible to the public, why not create a Facebook Page for the game, where you can share updates, promotions, and the latest happenings? Here’s one example of a game we created a while back: https://www.facebook.com/amazingfoodrace

Or, if it’s an internal game for a select group of people, such as employees in your organization, you can create a group on your enterprise network instead (such as Yammer).

5. Add these icons in your teaser if your users will use the default Gametize Mobile App

You can share the single link at https://corp.gametize.com/download, which redirects automatically based on the phones they are using, or the Web app if they are using the desktop.

6. Create animated GIFs

Animated GIFs are a great way to showcase your game while onboarding your users (better yet, it saves time on having to write how-to instructions). See https://support.gametize.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360013535271-Logging-in-as-a-Player for a reference.

For Mac users, you can download the GIPHY Capture App (https://giphy.com/apps/giphycapture) to quickly create animated GIFs. For Window users, there’s a range of software you can use, too
