Gametization is always a work in progress, and motivating social behaviours is one of our key focus. What we see lacking is an avenue for you, Administrators or Players, to connect with fellow users of the Gametize platform; to create, join and continue conversations. This became the motivation behind the design of the Inbox.
The Inbox will be for everyone to send, receive and reply to messages with anyone - Gametize to Admins, Gametize to Player, Admins to Admins, Admins to Players, Players to Admins and Players to Players. As you can see, we’ve got grand plans for the Inbox, and we can’t wait to share what we’ve got so far for this communication feature. The first release of the Inbox is with Administrators in mind, focusing on them receiving Project-related enquiries from their Players.
For the longest time, Project-related enquires are received by Gametize. Gametize then acts as a liasion, passing on these enquiries from the Players to the respective Project Administrators. Given the high volume of tickets sent in every day, there is no guarantee that our Support Ninjas are able to tend to these enquires promptly.
With the first iteration of the Inbox, Project Administrators and Moderators are now able to receive the following Project-related enquiries directly and view them via the Chat window.
- Reporting on another Player’s Challenge completion - triggered when the Players have questions on a particular Challenge completion of another Player
- Reporting on another Player - triggered when the Players have questions on another Player’s behaviour or activity in the Project
- Challenge Enquiry - triggered when the Players have questions on a Flashcard or Challenge content
There will be no more delay, and you no longer need to wait for emails from the Support Ninjas! You will be able to see all the information you need to evaluate the enquiry - the message content, from where the Player triggered the enquiry and the reportee’s contact information.
Are you managing multiple Projects, and potentially a large number of Players? Fret not! The Inbox filters all messages based on Projects. Manage your messages like how you manage each Project’s content and Players. What’s more? Each Player will have a dedicated Chat window.
However, there is one caveat. This iteration of the Inbox has yet to have the function for you to reply to these message from within the Chat window. You would need to reply to the reportee’s enquiries using your preferred choice of email client separately. But, our developers are hard at work and it will not be too long before the reply function of the Inbox be available!
Here are some other caveats and known issues you should take note of.
