Improved account security - getting you to reset your password, again
On the Gametize platform, password reset is an automated process that relies on the use of transactional emails. However, there are still times where users are unable to receive email from us - making the process extremely frustrating. This is where we step in to do a manual reset and share a password after. While only the necessary people are involved in the communications, the password is no longer private to the user. Realizing that this defeats the purpose of having a password, we’ve implemented an additional security layer.
If you’ve got your password reset either Gametize Support or your Admins, you will be prompted to reset again after the first login. Here’s what you need to do:
- First, attempt to log in using the password given to you by Gametize Support or your Admins
- You will immediately be prompted to reset your password again before you can successfully log in.
- Start by inserting the password given to you, then create a new password that is memorable and secure.
- Please ensure that your password has got at least 8 characters, at least one lower-case letter, and a number.
The great thing about this process is that it does not involve any transaction emails. After creating your new password, you will be directed to your dashboard (if you are logging in as an Admin) or the Player home page (if you are logging in as a Player).
