[FEATURE UPDATE] NEW CHALLENGE - Video Challenge

One of the most highly demanded Challenge type is finally up and running - Video Challenge!

The Video Challenge works similarly as a Photo Challenge, where Players can record or upload a video to complete the Challenge. This will be perfect if you are looking to level up the Player-generated content within your Project with a greater variety of visual content.

As per usual, you are able to customize the points settings, Challenge completion frequency, publishing schedule, locking sequence, media embedded and more. Here’s a quick guide with more details!

However, since we are dealing with a potentially large media content, we have to input some limitations to make sure the platform and mobile web and apps perform optimally. Here’s an overview:

• Duration of the videos uploaded via the mobile apps will be capped at 10 seconds.
• File size of the videos uploaded via the Player Web will be capped at 2MB.
• File type of the videos uploaded via the Player Web is restricted to .mp4.
• The video thumbnail displayed in Activity is in landscape view by default, even if the video is taken in portrait mode.

The new feature is available to all Project Administrators via the Admin Dashboard, across all plans. Players can access the Challenge via the Gametize Web platform and Gametize Mobile App, both iOS and Android.
