Gametize Platform 18.0.0 introduces improvements across Player sign-in, administration, Project management, integrations, user experience, security, and platform reliability.
Availability: Platform updates are gradually rolled out across Gametize.com and supported Enterprise platforms. Some features may depend on platform configuration and may not be available or applicable on Gametize.com.
Verification-code sign-in for Players
Gametize now supports verification-code sign-in for supported platforms.
Players can receive a verification code by email as part of the sign-in process, allowing platforms to support additional sign-in verification or a passwordless experience.
This gives organisations greater flexibility in how Players access their programmes while reducing reliance on passwords.
New User Manager role
A new User Manager role makes it easier to delegate Player administration without providing broader Project administration access.
User Managers can manage Players and Team membership while access to areas such as Content, analytics, Rewards, and Project settings remains restricted.
This is particularly useful for larger teams where Player administration needs to be handled separately from Project configuration.
Improved Project export, import, and duplication
Projects now retain more of their structure when exported, imported, or duplicated.
Improvements include better preservation of categories and their assignments across Topics, Content, and Rewards, along with broader support for related Project settings and assets.
This makes it easier to:
- reuse successful Project structures
- create reusable templates
- move content between Projects or accounts
- reduce manual setup after an import or duplication
More flexible Maps
Map hotspots can now link to an entire Topic Category in addition to individual Topics.
This gives Administrators more flexibility when building map-based navigation for Projects with larger or grouped collections of Topics.
Project and Topic display headings
Projects and Topics can now use an additional display heading separate from their underlying title.
This gives Administrators more control over how headings are presented to Players while retaining practical internal naming conventions.
Expanded Admin API capabilities
The Admin API now includes additional capabilities for supported Enterprise and integration use cases, including file uploads and Project creation from structured Project data.
This provides more opportunities for organisations to automate Project setup and connect Gametize with existing systems and workflows.
AI-assisted Project search
Supported integrations can now request an AI-generated summary alongside Project content search results.
This creates opportunities for richer search and question-and-answer experiences while continuing to provide the original search results.
Refreshed Player experiences
Several Player-facing areas have received visual and usability improvements.
Minigames including:
- Hangman
- Memory
- Sequencing
- Spin the Wheel
- Scratch Card
- Video
have been refreshed with a more consistent and mobile-friendly experience.
Account, registration, and Team-related screens have also been updated for greater consistency and improved localisation across supported languages.
A cleaner Administrator experience
A number of usability improvements have been introduced across the Admin Console, including:
- cleaner list views
- easier-to-find search controls
- more consistent action buttons
- improved Topic management shortcuts
- forms that remain on the same page after saving where appropriate
- clearer styling for destructive actions
These changes are intended to reduce unnecessary steps during everyday Project administration.
Community and moderation improvements
Community moderation has received several smaller usability and reliability improvements.
These include better handling of repeated moderation actions and clearer treatment of Players who are no longer members of a Project.
Security and reliability improvements
Release 18.0.0 also includes a wider collection of behind-the-scenes improvements across:
- authentication and session handling
- verification-code security
- cross-origin security controls
- email delivery reliability
- Project activity logging
- map saving
- moderation workflows
- platform dependencies and maintenance
While many of these changes are not directly visible to Players or Administrators, they contribute to a more secure, stable, and dependable Gametize platform.
Continuing to improve Gametize
Release 18.0.0 represents a broad step forward across both the Player and Administrator experience, while also strengthening the platform for Enterprise integrations and future development.
We will continue rolling out these improvements progressively across Gametize.com and Enterprise platforms.
