[Feature] Expanded Hotspot Types for Project Map

We’re excited to introduce an enhancement to the Project Map feature on Gametize, inspired by feedback from our project creators!

What’s New?

Previously, map hotspots only supported Topic linking. With this update, hotspots are now much more versatile and can link to:

• URLs (open in the same tab/window or a new tab/window)
• Key Gametize features such as:
  • Achievements
  • Rewards
  • Community
  • Activities
  • Teams
  • Leaderboard

This gives you greater flexibility to design more interactive and engaging map experiences for your users.

Availability

• Currently available on the player web application
• Coming soon to the player mobile application

How to Use

In the CMS Map Manager, simply select the new hotspot type when creating a new map or editing an existing one.

We can’t wait to see how you use these new hotspot options to create richer and more dynamic project journeys!
