[Feature] Preview: Enhanced Control Over Discussion Board Posts
FeaturedIn our mission to keep improving the Gametize platform, we’re excited to preview a new feature currently in development: Post Approval for Discussion Boards. This update will give administrators more control over user-generated content on their boards, helping them create a safer and more curated environment for their communities.
Key Features of the Post Approval Update
Board-Level Post Approval Settings: Administrators can now choose, on a board-by-board basis, whether posts by players require approval before they’re visible to others or are published automatically. This setting gives admins more flexibility in managing content based on the unique needs of each discussion board.
Content Management Control: The tools to control post publishing and manage visibility (publish/unpublish posts) are fully integrated within our content management system, making it easier to moderate discussions directly from the Gametize admin panel.
Where Are We Now?
Currently, this feature is available for testing on our beta environment, beta.gametize.com. However, as we’re still in the early stages of testing, our beta web and mobile applications for players do not yet support the updated interface for boards with post approval requirements.
Additionally, notification features—such as notifying administrators when a post is created and requires approval, or when a post is approved—are not yet implemented. We’re working to add these capabilities to ensure admins can manage their boards efficiently without missing important updates.
This upcoming enhancement is a step towards greater flexibility and safety on the Gametize platform, allowing administrators to better manage their communities. We’ll keep you posted on our progress, so stay tuned for updates as we continue to refine this feature based on user feedback and testing results.
