[Known Issue, Tips]: How to embed Maps such as Baidu into Gametize?

Google Maps does not work in China, so users will see a blank screen for the area that loads the map in the app/web.

Baidu Maps is the preferred map application for use in China. However, Baidu Maps does not have embed capability out of the box.

 

We have 2 suggestions:

• Provide the URL of the location in Baidu Map in the challenge description for users to refer to easily (like what you have done for the challenge that you have shown us).

1. Make use of Baidu Maps API Tool (http://api.map.baidu.com/lbsapi/creatmap/) to construct a simple webpage, and upload the HTML file to a web hosting service (or you may want to experiment using a cloud storage solution that works in China). With the URL available, embed the content in the challenge.
