[BETA] Decide the look of your Project Home - customizable home buttons

We began 2018 by releasing the feature on Custom Project Home background, where you can insert any image you like or one that suits your Project content. As opposed to the one with the default Gametize logo. We are turning that up by a notch - further boosting features that support Project Home customization. Introducing, customizable Project Home Buttons!

All these began with a question we asked ourselves - what could Admin possibly add to the Project Home buttons that could benefit the Players? The answer was, literally every possible content type on the Gametize platform. And thus, this formed the core function of this feature - the ability to add new home buttons and assign a new button type. On top of the 5 default buttons - Teams (if enabled), Activity, Leaderboard, Rewards, and Bookmarks, you can now have a Topic, Challenge, Topic Category or URL as a button. 

Taking it a step - or rather, several steps - further, you can name the newly created buttons however you like, rename the default buttons, remove any buttons, and put the buttons in whatever order you like. Now, you get to decide what truly works for your Project and campaign and what resonates the best with your audience. The Project now truly belongs to you. 

Here are the how-to guides to get you started. 

As you are curating, do note the following caveats:

  • At the moment, there is no support on the mobile apps and web for the changes made to the custom home buttons. You may preview the changes within the editor via your Admin Dashboard. 
  • You cannot create duplicates of the default buttons, namely Teams, Activity, Leaderboard, Rewards, and Bookmarks. 
  • You cannot have duplicates of button names for any button types. 
  • You can only have up to 8 home buttons, including the default ones.
