Google captcha can be frustrating and may not work in China.

Recording this request for future consideration! Would be helpful to have a CAPTCHA service which works in China...

As for frustration, I think most CAPTCHAs require you to type the word from a distorted image - which tends to be far more frustrating and error-prone. On the other hand, the Google reCAPTCHA simply tracks mouse movement before you click on the confirmation box to test for bots and should only occasionally trigger an additional Turing Test.

I will do some more research and see what alternatives we can consider!

Found an alternative to reCaptcha: https://www.hcaptcha.com/

Some comments seem to indicate that it works well in China as well, but more investigation may be needed.
