For larger-scale events where you are expecting a larger number of Players to be using the platform concurrently to access your Project(s) (whether on the app or player web), the Gametize team will need to be on standby to continue providing you and your Players with the best, fastest, and smoothest experience on Gametize.
If you are using the Gametize platform for a larger-scale event, please inform us in advance so we can prepare to support the influx of user activities. Here is more information about concurrent usage:
What is concurrent usage?
Concurrent usage is defined as when Players are simultaneously performing any action on your Project(s) – some examples include but are not limited to:
- Viewing a Flashcard/Challenge
- Making a Challenge completion (e.g. submitting a photo, choosing a quiz option)
- Commenting/voting on another Player's completion
- Redeeming a Reward
How many users counts as a larger-scale event?
If you are expecting more than 500 users to be accessing your app throughout the event, we’ll need to assess if we need to take any extra steps to ensure smooth performance on the platform, so do get in touch if your event exceeds 500 Players.
Why do I need to inform the Gametize team in advance?
All actions by Players are handled by our database, so a large number of concurrent activities will result in an increased load on our database. Thus, the Gametize team will need to be on standby to monitor usage and respond accordingly and if needed, we’ll upgrade the server temporarily to accommodate the higher number of activities on the platform.
How do I get in touch?
Please inform us at least 3 working days in advance of your event date so we can prepare to support the influx of user activities.
If you are on an Enterprise Plan, please get in touch with your Account Manager at Gametize with the following details:
- Your Project name and ID
- How many Players you are expecting to be accessing the platform
- Expected duration of time of increased Player activity (e.g. 9AM - 5PM SGT)
